Overview
This project builds on my previous work exploring academic dishonesty. Many times, students engage in academic misconduct due to a lack of understanding or proper use of APA guidelines, for example, not knowing when or how to cite sources correctly. This raises an important question: how can we better support students in applying APA guidelines accurately in their
work? This project has two main goals. First, to identify where errors in the use of APA guidelines most commonly occur. Second, to apply situational expectancy-value theory to understand how students make sense of expectancy, value, and cost when it comes to properly implementing APA guidelines. Research publications from this project will be made available under the Publications section as they become available.
