Overview

This is a new area of research for me, and one I’m excited to explore in collaboration with Dr. Lucy Delgado. This project has three main goals. First, to explore the preferences of individuals with LD regarding person-first versus identity-first language. Second, to examine whether individuals with LD prefer the term “learning disabilities” or have other terminology preferences. And third, to explore their identity as a person with LD, including potential intersections with other identities, particularly sexual orientation. Research publications from this project will be made available under the Publications section as they become available.
